Since it is already 2015 let’s make this wrap up quick!
In March I was introduced through Art Licensing Los Angles, an artist’s co-op I belong to, to Before + Again. This company works with artists to design tops, tunics, dresses, skirts, scarves, cardigans and ponchos. It had been several years since I worked in apparel graphic design, so it was fun to work with B+A and exciting to see my designs on their products! http://www.beforeandagain.com/
Here are a few of the designs they liked. Look for a future post of a new design debuting for Spring Summer 2015!
Fast forward to May for Surtex 2014! Me and my fellow Art Licensing Los Angeles artists transversed the country from LA to New York to exhibit at Surtex. Surtex is an annual trade show featuring all kinds of surface design available to buy or license for just about any type of product. Manufacturers come from around the globe to shop for the latest trends and most beautiful and fresh ideas in surface design! This was my second time exhibiting since 2010 and I was excited to be in company with a group of talented artists all with their unique art.
Unfortunately I was sick the whole show with a sinus infection, trying not to pass my germs to our visitors and my fellow artists! We each had spaces for two banners. Here is a snap of me with my banners.
And then there was New York! I have lots of family members and in-laws living in New York. In spite of being sick, I saw many of them, went to a huge birthday party for my brother, ate lots of great food, saw a musical, cooked, did Yoga, got massages and just hung out. My niece has two little babies. They are so adorable, as most babies are! Left: Jazzi Right: Deni!
