New Great Arrow Cards!

Great Arrow Graphics, the greeting card company that makes every card by hand using traditional silkscreen methods sent to me a box of my latest designs. It’s always exciting to see the finished products and hold them in my hands.  I think they look great, feel great and even have a lovely smell of fresh ink!  Let me know what you think and leave a comment.  I will choose at random, three people and they will receive a nice sampler gift package of my cards.  Not just the ones you see here but for other occasions as well!

Fashion Top Design Of The Week

So excited to see this design up on the  BeforeandAgain’s website!  Of the eight designs they picked up last year, I think this is my favorite.  What do you think?  I am going to try and do some more hand painted art in the future.

Look at you Hello Kitty!!!!

I haven’t seen the Hello Kitty 40th Anniversary exhibit in Los Angeles’ Little Tokyo yet and definitely plan on catching it soon.  But today I stumbled on the Flickr site of  Joseph Senior, an illustrator living in New Zealand.  Miss Hello Kitty takes on all kind of celebrity personality types.  Check out the whole collection here.    Fun Stuff!

Vote for me! Please.

I’ve entered a design contest at Spoonflower.com and if you are so inclined, please vote for me at this link.  The theme this week is ‘Penguins’ and I’ve entered my pattern “Penguin’s Snow Day”.  There are quite a few entries, so I apologize that you’ll have to scroll through dozens of designs.  Be prepared for a big dose of cuteness.  You can vote for as many as you like, but I’d appreciate a vote for me and tell your friends!  My shop name is listed with the design as Popfortune which I will explain at another time why I chose that name.Print

Happy New Year 2015!

Thank you for reading my blog, a bit of a clumsy stumbling effort through the last year as I was trying to get the hang of using the software.  I’m still figuring it out, so I’m going to be patient with myself and keep moving forward.  I wish all of you joy, peace, health and prosperity in 2015, in your families, in your work and in your personal endeavors.  I did not mention yet that during the year I reconnected with a licensee that I lost contact with from a few years ago and I also  signed several new contracts with new companies.  I look forward to working with them to get them new art.  But mostly I want to continue to make more art that conveys the feeling of  innocence, wonder and joy of life that come out in my characters and designs. Art that people have said makes them feel happy.  To do that I must stay connected to the most important things that matter and have gratitude for those blessings.  Happy New Year!

Year In Review Part One

Screen shot 2014-12-17 at 11.33.58 AM

Some one needs to scold this negligent artist for not keeping up with her blog!  Not only that, but this artist also does not keep up with her press and online presence very well.  Bad artist!  Does this mean I will get a lump of coal for Christmas?

So to make up for it, this artist, ahem, ME, will post several bits of news from the year in review.  To begin with, I JUST today discovered that Oklahoma Embroidery Supply and Design, aka OESD featured me on their blog way back in JANUARY!  This was my very first collection, Cupid and Hearts Floral embroidery collection.  I will continue to post more news every few days until the end of the year.  Then I vow to be much better at this in 2015!
