This is a friendly reminder that the voting is still open at Spoonflower.com for the weekly fabric design contest. This week’s theme is Flying Machines and I’ve entered my design, “Race to the Clouds”. If you wish to vote, and I would be thrilled if you would add in your vote for “Race to the Clouds”. I’ve entered another Spoonflower.com fabric design contest themed Flying Machines with my design called “Race to the Clouds”. It features fantastical hot air balloons, winged contraptions, and an imaginary dirigible and graphic clouds. If you are so inclined to vote for my design, you can do so here. I would really appreciate your vote!!!
I just saw this today! Some funky fun robot art I created a few weeks ago is already up on Gango Editions Amazon store! I had so much fun designing and illustrating these guys for wall art. I’m thinking of using the robots as icons to create a repeat pattern for fabric, wall paper, bedding, kids ceramics, tins. The prints can be purchased here.
So excited to see this design up on the BeforeandAgain’s website! Of the eight designs they picked up last year, I think this is my favorite. What do you think? I am going to try and do some more hand painted art in the future.
I’m honored to appear on Annie Troe’s Art Licensing Blog, Artist Spotlight feature. You can read it here.
I haven’t seen the Hello Kitty 40th Anniversary exhibit in Los Angeles’ Little Tokyo yet and definitely plan on catching it soon. But today I stumbled on the Flickr site of Joseph Senior, an illustrator living in New Zealand. Miss Hello Kitty takes on all kind of celebrity personality types. Check out the whole collection here. Fun Stuff!

The votes are in for the Spoonflower Steampunk Valentine contest. Again, I did not win a place in the top ten. But my design “Eternal Love” placed number eleven, Woo Hoo! With 383 votes I was only 8 behind the number 10 design! I thank everyone who voted and I feel very confident there will be a win somewhere down the line. I believe that taking on these challenges will make me a better and more prolific illustrator.
